THE Public Attorney's Office (PAO) has asked the Court of Appeals (CA) to reconsider its ruling in connection with the deportation case of Walter Prescott who was born in the Philippines of a Filipino mother and an American father.

The PAO, led by Chief Public Attorney Persida Rueda-Acosta, argued that the complaint against Walter Prescott on the alleged illegal acquisition of Philippine citizenship via Republic Act 9225 or "Citizenship Retention and Re-acquisition Act of 2003" is an attack on his citizenship.
