Police in Lancaster County have confirmed an incident in which a student bit a teacher's thumb and severed it.It happened Thursday at the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 Central Education Center in Manheim.IU 13 spokesperson Shannan Guthrie said letters were sent home with students, and individual phone calls were made to select families.No other details were released.Full statementHere is the full statement from IU 13:"We can confirm that there was a student incident at the Central Education Center (Manheim, PA) on the morning of Thursday, April 18, 2024.
