With the weather warming up, local snowbirds are returning home. Comedian Chad Daniels may not necessarily be a snow bird, but the Fergus Falls, Minn., native often returns to the area around this time for a night of laughs.

Fargo Ice Revue

The ice outside may have melted but skating season isn’t over. The Fargo Ice Revue showcases some of the area's best skaters. This year’s show features programs set to popular musical numbers from classics like “Wicked,” “Mamma Mia!” and more. The show also features international competitor Camden Pulkinen.

Celtic Festival

If you want to celebrate Gaelic culture indoors, head over to the Hjemkomst Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the Celtic Festival. The annual event features examples of the history, stories, songs and arts of Ireland, Scotland and more, including music from local bagpipers.

Dennis Krull

Better known as a designer and photographer behind 5foot20 design lounge, Dennis Krull has been creating fine art for years. He shows off his encaustic work, also called hot wax painting, at Moorhead’s Rourke Art Gallery + Museum with the solo show, “Painting with Fire: The First Ten Years.”
He’ll discuss his work process in a gallery talk at 2 p.m. Sunday, part of a public reception from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. that day. The Rourke is free and open to the public. therourke.org.
