A shocking video shows the moment a former baseball star lands his plane on a California freeway after his engine failed.
Ryan Mundo, 25, was piloting the aircraft when he was forced to make an emergency landing in the middle of traffic on Friday.
Video of the incident shows the plane coming in for a landing on the freeway between several cars in front and behind it.
The woman who recorded the video was riding with her husband as they watched the plane make a safe landing.

'My husband said it was doing an emergency landing so I got my phone out to record it. We later found out that it was a student and instructor and there were engine problems so the instructor took over and did the landing,' the woman said.
During the actual video, her husband is heard saying: 'This is f**king gnarly. You don't see this every day.'
'He pulled it off, perfect,' the woman's husband said.
The woman said hours later when they drove by again, the plane was on the side of the freeway being taken apart.
The wings of the plane were reportedly removed in order to get things running as normal on the roads again.
The aircraft was too wide to be towed to the airfield, officials said.

Mundo (pictured) was hailed a hero after making sure the aircraft safely reached the ground when the engine failed with himself - an instructor - and a 36-year-old student pilot on board
Officials said that mechanics may have to be called to remove the four-seat plane's wings, because the aircraft was too wide to tow to the airfield.
Mundo was hailed a hero after making sure the aircraft safely reached the ground when the engine failed with himself - an instructor - and a 36-year-old student pilot on board.
The plane made an emergency landing in the middle of traffic with a California Highway Patrol official calling it 'nothing short of a miracle'.
Fox News reported the pair had planned to take the aircraft to the nearby Gillespie Field.
Still Mundo glided them to safety while avoiding homes, power lines and other vehicles on the busy road in El Cajon.
At first the plane obstructed two lanes of the freeway but it was then guided to the Mollison Avenue off-ramp for Interstate 8 West, which was still blocked off around rush hour at 4pm.
The pilot and student pushed the single-engine 1979 Piper PA-28 to the freeway shoulder to avoid blocking traffic.
'That guy in the Black is @Big_Munes. Thankful everybody is safe #aztecforlife,' San Diego State University Baseball tweeted alongside a picture of 2015 alumni Mundo looking far from flustered at the scene.
Mart Foley, the Aztecs media relations manager tweeted that the event was by far Mundo's greatest accolade.
'Three-time champion - 2013 All-MW Second Team selection - 2014 Lafayette Regional All-Tournament Team - 11th in history in career doubles,' he wrote on Twitter.
He than added: 'Most importantly: - Lander of a plane on the 8 / saver of multiple lives today.'
The plane is reportedly registered to local So Cal Leasing LLC.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board started investigating what led to the engine failure Friday.
No one was injured during the incident.
